The 8bitpeoples first came together in 1999 as a collective of artists sharing a common love for classic videogames and an approach to music which reflected this obsession. Our primary interests were to provide quality music for free and most importantly to have fun. In the years since, we have grown in rank and expanded our goals.

The Tank is a non-profit arts presenter whose mission is to provide a welcoming, creative, collaborative, and affordable environment for artists and activists engaged in the pursuit of new ideas. Through a wide range of low-cost, high-concept arts and public affairs programming, The Tank seeks to cultivate a new generation of audience for live performance, civic discourse, and the work of emerging artists.

Gaijin Games is an independent video game development studio founded by industry veteran Alex Neuse in 2007. Located in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA, Gaijin Games operates in an agile development environment and creates unique gaming experiences for digital distribution. We view video games as an art medium and approach it as such.

Mammoth Printshop is a full-service screen printing workshop with over 13 years of printing experience. In 2007 they moved into a new 20,000 square foot facility. They offer a wide range of services and production options.

They also produce all the 8bitpeoples, Bit Shifter, Nullsleep, and Blip Festival T-Shirts. 

Nonfinite Electronics is a resource for both the aspiring and seasoned chip musician.  Their products range from custom modified Game Boys, which are preferred by many chip artists all over the world, to cutting-edge cartridges, which can be loaded with compositional software for use with your Game Boys.

Polytron Corporation is a television game development studio located in Montreal, Canada. Polytron is currently working on  their flagship title `FEZ`, scheduled for release in 2010.

mediaThe foundation inc. supports Not-for-Profit organizations focusing on new media performance arts, the development of new media content, humanitarian causes, and the environment, particularly alternative energy sources and nature preservation.

The Experimental Television Center was founded in 1971 and offers a media Residency Program, Grants, Sponsorship for artists' projects and the Video History Project on the Web.
