Blip: Before you got into making chip music, what type of music or art where you into?

I’ve been to the conservatory for a couple of years when I was kid playing piano and I think it gave me kind of bases in understanding music feelings and expression. Also 12 years ago I was making kind of electro acoustic music using Revox B77 by cutting piece of sound samples to create textures and atmosphere for theaters plays. It was a long time ago. But I’ve been always fascinated by modular synthesis and computer, thanks to my great teacher who is a kind of weirdos with that. Then I was making music by my own using the lame player pro tracker on mac LC.

Blip: How did you first become aware of the possibility of chip music?

I guess tracking with an old computer makes you understand. And it’s affordable by this time.

Blip: How does your background influence your current work?

The way to compose and they way to create atmosphere in my tracks are the keys.

Blip: Where do you see yourself in the greater chip community?

Having side projects in different “communities” is for me very important. So I’m not really into any kind of community in fact, I like to explore and discover many ways to create and perform. But I do go on 8bitcollective sometimes and micromusic.net almost everyday.  I’m a big fan of lsdj. I’ve been using it since a long time. Alone or with casios keyboards of even modular synths.

Blip: Who are you most excited to see at blip? Why?

It’s always a pleasure to meet musicians. And this festival sounds like having a great bunch of artists.

But Glomag and Bubblyfish are the two i’m looking forward to meet and to hear.

Blip: Where do you see your progression as an artist heading? Deeper into chip music, or perhaps something different?

I’ll definitely continue using fucked up dmg cause it’s fun.

Eat Rabbit is performing Thursday at 12:40 with visuals by Rosa Menkman
